MOTHERHOOD IS THE GREATEST GIFT AND I ADORE MY KIDS, BUT I DON’T WANT TO BE JUST A MOM. HERE’S A PERSONAL LOOK AT WHY I AM A BLOGGER, EVEN IF IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE TO MOST OF THE OUTSIDE WORLD.
I have a confession to make: I don’t want to be “just” a mom.
That’s a scary sentence to type because I can already feel the heat I’ll get from making that statement.
I LOVE BEING A MAMA
Let me be very clear.
I consider motherhood to be one of my life’s greatest blessings, and I would give anything for the two small humans who forever changed me inside and out.
I love my kids and I love my family.
I love being their mama.
BUT THAT CAN’T BE MY ONLY PURPOSE
But having my only purpose in life being taking care of them and everything that involves?
That’s not enough for me.
When that’s the only that I’m doing day in and day out, I feel like something is missing.
I feel antsy and unsettled.
I feel irritable and grumpy.
I don’t feel fully like ME.
I need more.
THAT IS WHY I KEEP GOING
THAT is why I continue to work on my blog, despite it not being necessary to our family finances.
THAT is why I continue to pursue entrepreneurship, even when it requires losing sleep, and sometimes losing money.
THAT is why I continue to try new things over and over again, even when others look at me like I’ve lost my mind.
I NEED this.
I need this for me.
I need more than being just a mom.
